And can someone, anyone, please explain to me why any poor conservative is even a bit worried about the redistribution of wealth?
It's infuriating.
Rich people will STAY rich, you assholes. No one's trying to take anything away from you. But if you can afford to pay taxes, then you ought to. You make more, therefore you should give more. And don't even get me STARTED about the basic selfish moral implications of any person who could honestly say that they don't think hard working middle-class Americans don't deserve a break. Clearly, none of those people have ever had a family member die because they couldn't afford to keep them alive. Nonsense.
It's just so infuriating to hear particularly wealthy young people talk about how Obama is going to 'steal away' all that they (read: their parents) have worked for. Even if we were to become a big, red, scary Sooooooccciiiallist state, it isn't out of necessity or unfairness that our society would crumble, it would be from the raged greed of those feeling punished.
I'd like any one of the worried parties to talk to me about not having. I'd like any one of them or you to talk to me about your mother being released from a mental hospital prematurely and then trying to kill herself again --- and all because her health insurance 'ran out'. Apparently, only people without money think that its not a matter of greed or fairness that every person deserves to eat and to not die when they're sick. Have one singular person talk to me about real life issues--not about whether or not they can afford another car, house or iPod -- THEN we can discuss the negative implications of this whiny, indignant, self-righteous Socialism tripe.
